Ward Youth Conference

We had the ward youth conference this weekend which was super fun! We just got back tonight and for some reason I am not tired even though I got like 3 hours of sleep last night! On Friday we all met at the church at 5pm and then we drove up to Prescott and we got to stay in The Franklin's cabin, Well the girls did anyway! It was sooo nice, 3 stories and probably like 15x's bigger than our real house and it looked like a model home. The boys had to stay in an old warehouse that was super dusty and had attack dogs surrounding it that barked the whole night, sad! When we got there it was dark so we had a short fireside and then we went back to the cabin. There were like 30 girls sleeping in sleeping bags all over the basement and it was impossible to sleep! haha! The next day we had this really good breakfast with french toast made out of homemade bread it was so good! Then we did a service project painting picnic tables at the little park that is in the middle of all the cabins around there. Then we had lunch, went to little classes, and just hung out until dinner. Then we ate and had a testimony meeting. It was so fun and I am so thankful for all the leaders who went to so much work to put it together it was amazing! Here are some pictures from the conference:

The Twisted Big Top

Near halloween me and my friends usually go to fear farm (a haunted corn maze)-I know some of you might think it is weird to pay to be chased around a corn maze by evil looking clowns...but it is one of the things I look forward to the most near halloween! This year though, we heard about a haunted house called "The Twisted Big Top" -It is about this girl who never got to go to the circus and so she imagined up all these demented things of what the circus must be like. The haunted house was centered around clowns. The best thing about it was there was a very short line, but it pretty much ended there. We paid $23 dollars to be slightly scared through a pretty lame haunted house which was supposed to be the best in AZ! The first attraction we sat in this room which was supposed to be a funeral and these statues with projected faces talked and then a skeleton flung out of a coffin. The next attraction was a mirror maze that lasted 3 minutes where only two people popped out. The last attraction was the best part. You began being led through one of those places where there is a big air bag being pushed against you to make you feel claustrophobic, then you went through several rooms where clowns followed you and popped out at you and such. I thought that the clown statues were freakier than the people. I have to hand it to them the statues were really realistic and the scary part was you could not tell if they were going to move and grab you, or if they were just fake. There was this nerd clown statue with HUGE teeth that was so freaky. All in all, if you were planning to go to a haunted house this October, i would recommend fear farm! Sorry this post is really long, I want to be able to remember everything!

Homecoming

Okay so I have lots and lots of pictures of homecoming! It has been such of fun week!

Homecoming Day! It was so fun the whole week because it was spirit week! The best day was friday beacause of the pep assembly and the game. My dance group danced at the assembly so that was super fun! We also had another interesting dance group perform-The Sun City Dancers! Haha! They were so funny doing the splits and headstands! Very entertaining! I hope I look that good when I'm older haha!

Me and Jake at the game. Even though we lost it was really fun, we stayed until half time and then we went with kendra, natalie, david, bryan and jordan to applebees and cold stone.

We picked up the guys super early in the morning and we surprised them with breakfast!

The boys made us lunch instead of going out to dinner because they went to the Priesthood session. Then they picked us up later and we went to the dance.

Okay so it was kinda sad because I ordered this dress for homecoming a little over a week before the dance hoping it would get here in time but it never did! Sad! I absolutely loved it though! I ended up just buying new shoes and red ribbon and wearing the dress that I wore at Melissa's wedding.

I went with Jake, one of my good friends so it was really fun!

The corsage...

Okay so it is really hard to put on a boutonniere! I think I stabbed him a couple of times haha!

The group- it was funny we didn't plan to all match, but it turned out that we all wore red and black.
