I would be very ungrateful if I didn't recognize the Lord's hand in my life this past semester, and my whole college experience to be honest, I am constantly amazed at how much I have been given, the blessings I receive, and the tender mercies of the Lord. I just got my grades back from last semester and am happy to say that I got straight A's! except for a B+ in chemistry which I am very grateful for because it was such a hard class, I thought I was going to get a B so that was a huge blessing in itself. This semester I made a goal to go to the temple every week, let me tell you that was the best decision I ever made. I never knew all the blessings that could come from it because my first semester I only went like 3 times. I could physically tell a difference in my ability to learn when I started going, I was able to understand the hard concepts that I had a hard time with before and they came easily to me.
Next, my ward. I had an amazing ward and bishopric and also got a very interesting calling. Relief Society Chorister. When I was called to this I was very confused to be honest haha! seeing that I had never led anything in my life. Every sunday my roommate Katie would show me how to lead the songs we were singing! During being set apart I was promised that I would see the tender mercies of the Lord everyday, and I really did. People would say things to me when I was having a hard day that was exactly what I needed to hear, a lady that I didn't even know wrote me such a sweet message on facebook because she was looking for another "brittany flake" but felt prompted to tell me what she did.
Lastly, my best friends. Jill, Lyndee, and Katie. I have never met crazier or funner girls in my life!! We all met last semester and are all trying to get into the nursing program, applying for the spring and decided to be roommates! I really don't know what I would do if I hadn't met them, they are the best thing about college! I have never had such good friends as they have been to me. We talked about everything, we helped each other through our anatomy class, we studied together at the library for hours on end, Lyndee and Katie went to our end of the year dance showcase even though it was probably so boring for them and took us out to get fro yo afterwards. We made videos, had dance parties. late night taco bell runs, picked up random guys off the street(prob not that smart, but oh well!), pricked each others fingers in lab, gave EKG's. I don't think I can write how much these girls mean to me!! When we were all super stressed we would talk about how much mulah we will make as nurses!
I couldn't have been more blessed and I am so thankful for everything!! I am sure next semester will be just as fun because Alisha will be here! :)
